Can holders of bachelor’s degrees in law with distance learning participate in lawyer training courses in Vietnam?

I just got my bachelor's degree in law from the distance learning system. Can I ask if the law allows bachelors of law from distance training to participate in lawyer training courses in Vietnam?

    • Can holders of bachelor’s degrees in law with distance learning participate in lawyer training courses in Vietnam?

      Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 1 of the 2012 Law on Lawyers, there are provisions on lawyer training as follows:

      1. Holders of bachelor’s degrees in law may take a lawyer course at an institution licensed to train lawyers.

      2. A lawyer course lasts for 12 months.

      People that complete the lawyer course shall be issued with the Certificate of completing the lawyer course by the training institution.

      3. The Government shall specify the requirements of lawyer training institutions.

      4. The Minister of Justice shall specify a general program for lawyer training, and the recognition of lawyer training overseas.

      Thus, according to the above regulations in Vietnam, people with a bachelor's degree in law, regardless of training system, are entitled to attend the lawyer training course. Therefore, if you have a bachelor's degree in law from a distance learning system, you can attend a lawyer training course.
