I drove my motorbike through the car lane so I was found by the police to make a record of the punishment. So please ask, how much did I get fined and was I suspended of my driving license in Vietnam?

    • According to Point g, Clause 3, Article 6 of the Decree 100/2019/ND-CP regulating penalties imposed upon operators of mopeds and motorcycles (including electric motorcycles) and the like violating road traffic rules, in which:

      3. A fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed upon a vehicle operator who commits any of the following violations:

      g) Failure to keep the vehicle to the right; going in the wrong lane; crossing the median strip; going on a sidewalk unless for entering a house;

      ...

      Thus, the above acts are subject to a fine of from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 in Vietnam. In addition, this act does not lead to suspension of driving licenses in Vietnam.

      Best Regards!
